1. ¿What
should English Language Learning (ELT) materials have?
First of all, materials should achieve impact, this means materials that
increase the curiosity in the learners, of this way the teacher can be keep the
attention of this learners.
This material can have an attractive presentation and content with the
use of images and interactive presentations, have variety as the use of
different kind of points of information, besides is important that this tasks
challenge the student to create a critic thinking.
In the same sense, Materials should help learners to feel at ease, is
important that the student enjoy the process of learning and for this is
important generate a comfortable environment, Comfortable environments could be
creates with the use of a relaxed voice, besides the presentation of subjects
with images and spaces for the student develop their own activities.
Materials should help learners to develop confidence, as activities that
encourage to the students to other levels and challenge their capacities and
abilities, as to be creative and analytic.
Likewise, Materials should require and facilitate learner
self-investment, in other words activities than required the time inversion by
part of the student, this used as practice of the knowledge acquired.

explain the main on the following question: ¿Proposals for Principled
Approaches to the Development of ELT Materials?
Although there is already a large amount of teaching material on the
market, it is very interesting that we design our own material, as well as new,
it will be better adapted to the group with which we work.
We can talk about didactic materials for teaching in general since these
materials are not only used for teaching English, however, throughout Over the
years, there has been a major change since the first materials didactic used by
the teacher to the current ones available today.
One of the most popular resources that has been used the most over the
years is the blackboard. From a personal opinion I think it is an essential
resource in the classroom which has also undergone many changes and evolutions.
To this day, the slates have a wide range of resources and activities that
awaken in the student an extra motivation. However, the slates must be
complemented with another series of resources that from my point of view are
much closer to the student.
Nowadays there are many very useful technological and digital resources
and at the same time motivators for students, however, there is a wide range of
resources adapted and specially designed for each class with which you work.
The use of didactic material in education, has as main objective the
approach and contact between the student, the teacher and real life, since in
many occasions the direct contact with the reality. To achieve this, the
materials can be designed by the teacher or well selected from others
previously prepared.
Apart from this, there are other advantages such as the motivation of
the student body and the teacher in the face of the teaching-learning process,
the ease with which they learn concepts, the development of procedures and
strategies, and also their contribution to a better fixation of learning.
The materials and their use should contribute not only to learning
aspects specific but also to the development of general knowledge, should be consistent
with our own theories of learning and involve selection, process and
organization of information. It is also important that they favor the communicative
competence of the language being learned, and interleaved use of materials with
the teacher acting as mediator of learning.
Finally it is also important that the materials help them in the
resolution of problems that may arise in the short term, as well as the experiments,
the more students live the situations, the greater the internalization of
learning, values and attitudes that materials transmit.

My Business trip itinerary
I need to get up at 6am so that I can get ready
and catch the bus that is leaving at 7.30am from Suba Avenue, The bus will
arrive in downtown at 9.30am and then I have to get on the ferry at
10.00am. The ferry is going to depart at
10.30am.
Then, I will arrive in Santa Fe at 12.00pm and
I will take a coach to Park Way. I will
arrive at 1.30pm and eat lunch. At 3.00pm there is a business conference that
lasts for 3 hours. I will attend the
whole conference.
I’m going
to a jazz concert, which will start at 8.00pm and then I will go back to my
hotel. The next day I’m going to an art exhibition which is going to open at
9.00am. Then, at 1.00pm I’m going to
watch a film and then catch my coach back to Santa Fe at 5.00 in the evening.
